Immediate Past District Governor

Born on January 8, 1960, in Jhansi to a reputed Arora family, Lion Anil Kumar Arora’s father, Late Sant Ram Arora, was a renowned businessman and social worker. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Bundelkhand University in 1980 and successfully passed his Chartered Accountancy from Delhi in 1986. He started his own practice in 1987 in his hometown Jhansi.

A sports enthusiast, he has won many trophies in table tennis and badminton; following his zeal for sports, he also took up swimming and lawn tennis. Besides pursuing his passions and maintaining a strict work ethic, he is dedicated and actively participates in various social and professional endeavors.

He joined the Lions Club of Jhansi in 1988 and has been serving Lionism for the last 36 years. He held the post of President of Lions Club of Jhansi from 1996–97, Zone Chairman from 1998–99, and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Lions Club Jhansi from 2000 to 2023. He served as GMT from 2019–20 and District Cabinet Treasurer from 2021–22, and was awarded Best Lion of the District for 2021–22. He served as Second Vice District Governor for 2022–23 and First Vice District Governor for 2023–24. He attended the Lions International Convention at Las Vegas, USA in July 2018.

He also held the post of Worshipful Master of Lodge Rock of Gwalior, No.16, in 2011. In 2013, when the Jhansi branch was formed, he was nominated as Chairman of the Jhansi Branch of CIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and remained an Executive Member of the professional body from 2014–2016. On the social responsibility front, he has been involved with various reputed organizations and is a member of the Jhansi Club and President of Radha Krishna Temple, Jhansi.

Professionally, Lion Anil Kumar Arora is a highly reputed Chartered Accountant in Jhansi, practicing under the name Arora Anil & Associates. In his personal life, he is a dedicated family man. He married Alka Arora in 1987 and they were blessed with a son, Mohit, and a daughter, Ishta. He was also blessed with a granddaughter, Yashita. His son Mohit and daughter-in-law Jigyasa work in Dubai, while his son-in-law Akshat Khanna and daughter Ishta are settled in New Jersey, USA.
